I am about to sue Equifax for failure to investigate a dispute I mailed them on April 16th 2002 via US Mail CRRR. They did not send me any updated info or reason for not disputing it. WhenI called today despite my bringing to their attention their violation of the FCRA all they wanted to do was re-dispute. This is not acceptable I told them and I ordered them to delete or I would seek legal action against them. She only gave me an address for their consumer affairs bureau and no number since they don't take phone calls?? I want to mail them a letter stating my case and their violations. I also want to include a copy of the suit I am going to file if they do not comply and delete. Does anyone have the information that is needed for the "Defendant section of the civil complaint" such as what the name is and address??? Who would need to be served? Equifax or do they have a certian person who receives their lawsuits. I want to do this right the first time without running into problems. They have me really pissed off right now! Thanks for the help! Tac
Does anyone have the information that is needed for the "Defendant section of the civil complaint" such as what the name is and address??? => You would simply sue - Equifax Information Services LLC or Equifax Inc. I did the later and it still worked. => Regarding the address and who to serve...you need to look at your Secretary of State's website (ie. California http://kepler.ss.ca.gov/list.html) for the REGISTERED AGENT. For instance, I would use the following address since I live in California... Corporation Services Company (formerly known as Prentice-Hall) 2730 GATEWAY OAKS DR., SUITE 100 SACRAMENTO, CA 95833 So on the small claims application, I filled in the following (since I live in CA)... Equifax Inc. Registered Agent: Corporation Service Company (CSC) 2730 Gateway Oaks Drive, Suite 100 Sacramento, CA 95833 Phone (916) 563-2100 ---------- Also, if you want to reach someone "effective" at EFX, call Maynard Bryant at (404) 745-7941 direct, (404) 283-1533 pager.
