Re: Take a chill pill! While I'm still fairly new, I agree with whyspers. What would this board be without all of the various characters here? Boring.
HOw about a little of both? I have been very busy, and you have missed my posts. LOL I'm good, you know, better...worse...eh. How about you?
Re: Take a chill pill! maybe PBM should put a stop to this pointless tyrade. I for one come to this board to improve my credit knowledge. I couldn't give a frog's fat ass why lbrown comes out here, he doesn't bother me and I think he's showing alot of class by not responding. Thanks
Re: Take a chill pill! Sounds like group therapy to me. LMAO!! Really, though, if a person casts himself in the role of antagonist, it is reasonable to expect an antagonistic reaction from others.
Re: Take a chill pill! I have not seen anything here in this thread that could really be described as an attack on lbrown. Why are some folks getting upset by it??????
Re: Take a chill pill! I'm not really upset by it...i like doc, breeze and the rest of the gang, but this is supposed to be a credit forum. Just seemed a bit off topic
1*Maybe he is independently wealthy and can buy everything(car, house, etc) with cash. 2*Great for him but the rest of us are forced to deal with the reality of our credit scores and dealing with lenders. das72071 ============================ 1* If so I didn't get there by dealing with them. 2*Nobody resisted them so what did you expect?
Re: Take a chill pill! Really, though, if a person casts himself in the role of antagonist, it is reasonable to expect an antagonistic reaction from others. Breeze =================== Sorry I can't help what one assumes even if it's wrong!
brief outline Doc posted a couple of questions to lb59, and quoted from other posters. The reason for that is that lb59 preaches to us, but never tells anything about himself. When asked, he doesn't respond, except to preach some more. The tone of it was "what gives?" IMO Then people started saying they liked lb, or they didn't, and why. When some who are annoyed by his posts responded, others said, "why do you feel like this?" So people started telling why. Some of the posts were funny, and poked fun. The CCN joke came about over a rather paranoid exchange (no one argued at the time) about postal clerks who steal the green cards working for the CA's. The whole thing was hilarious. We post those kinds of things about each other all the time. I took the ignore off to see how lb responded. There was no need to do that, LOL. It was the same as always. He must like it this way. Most folks would say "I've been through hell..." and tell whatever happened to them. Or some would say "it's none of your business, I can say whatever I want." Some might come back with their own jokes. lb said the same thing he always says. I will say what I always say now - let him rant, I can't see it!!!!
Re: brief outline I have mixed feelings about lb. Most of the time the way that he responds, I can't tell if he is just quoting someone and then submitting or he is adding his own words somewhere. He does seem to have the same impersonal answer to everything and sometimes it is annoying. Until Doc started this thread, it never occurred to me that noone knows anything about lb except that he rents out trailer homes. I think that he closed a checking account without making sure all transactions had gone through a while back. It may have been someone else, I'm not sure. Then sometimes he one answer for everything is right on point. I guess it's about half and half.
Re: brief outline breeze, you put it very well. In my case, it all began when I answered someone's question about FICO scores. It was one of my "Creditnet addict" moments, lol, and I put about a half hour into that answer -- you know what I mean. Anyway, this was as good an answer as I could put together, and then lbrown59 began accusing me of being a FICO defender, whatever the heck that is, in many threads over a long period of time. At first I tried to discuss it with him, but he doesn't discuss -- he posts only those one-liner put-downs. Then I began insulting him back (terrible -- two wrongs don't make a right). Then I just ignored it -- but it continued -- stuff like the following sling. The really skillful thing he does (gotta hand it to him) is that since he uses only one-liners he can single you out for long-term (and I'm talking months and months) abuse and other people would never notice. Example: Link So yesterday when I saw a few people beginning to ask lbrown59 questions about his own credit repair, it occurred to me that this was a terrific opportunity to engage the guy differently. Maybe if a dialogue opened about credit repair, the conversation would spin away from his separating the rest of us into "FICO defenders" and "FICO victims" and the venomous remarks that go with that. I can definitely deal with him on that level here, even if we aren't buddies. So, I reposted those questions in this thread, hoping that the thread with his nickname in the title would coerce some sort of answer that would be, at the very least, different. (Frankly, I don't think he or anyone else owes anybody an answer to anything. On the other hand, you can be pretty darned vague about credit repair, preserving your confidentiality, etc., and still interact with others sensibly about it.) Unfortunately, that didn't work. So... breeze, I may be forced to do what I've never done before here -- actually put somebody on ignore. The reason I hate that is because it renders some threads "incomplete" and possibly even nonsensical, etc., but that may be a better outcome after all. Doc
Re: brief outline NO, Doc, never fear. You will not even notice unless you occasionally get a page with nothing on it, LOL. Then you know what it is, chuckle and go on. Sometimes someone quotes him - it is still always the same. And for a thread like this, I just take it off - just checking, ya know. Like I said, it wasn't necessary - nothing had changed. Personally, I think lb is a bot that scans for certain words and phrases, and automatically posts a pre-programmed message. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
Re: brief outline Aha, that would explain it, breeze, lol! I just wish the programmer would remove the words "Doc" and "Dock" from the bot's algorithm database. Doc
