Leave it or dispute it again ?

I did an investigation for balance correction at Experian for my closed Discover account and it came back corrected. Well, my EQ and TU have deleted the account when I disputed late payments on it but liike I said EX reports it as Open/Never Late with balance 0 - paid as of 4/2001.

What should I do? Dispute it again and count on creditor not being able to verify it so EX will delete it or just leave it like this ? Would that change my score dramaticaly?

BTW, my very good friend offered to put me on one of his CC accounts with 15000 limit and balance 0 ( he doesn't use credit cards ) so basically there is no activity. Would that help ? Or should I not take advantage of it ?

    Thanks

Sorry, you said that yes it did have lates. My bad.

I would wait a couple o' months and dispute something different-wrong limit, incorrect opened dates and see if that works.

Check the dates of your lates too-I have noticed some CRAs will delete some lates but then reinsert others that have never appeared before on investigation.

Well, this account on EX doesn't have any lates (and it was deleted off of TU and EQ)... it's reported as Open/Never late with balance 0 even though it was closed on 01/2001 and paid off on 4/2001. Question was If I should reinvestigate it or leave it as it is ?

If it's reporting as a closed R1 account with no lates, it definately isn't a derog. I'm not sure how much if any help, good standing closed accounts are to your score.
