I asked this a month or so ago but I did not get any advice and was wondering if I should just forget about it. Here is my situation, please help if you can: I am down to ONE negative on my credit reports and it is definately my fault and was delinquent. It is for a cell phone bill. I currently have a 30 day late being reported and they told me they only report things to the CRA's after being 90 days late. So, it looks like maybe I was given a break by only having a 30 day being reported. My question is should I leave it alone in case they investigate and change it to a 90 day? This is 13 months old if that makes a difference. I heard that by getting your last derog. removed, it increases you score a lot. Is that true? I am currently at 671 EQ FICO. I appreciate all of the information I have read on this board and would like to say 'Thank You' for making 8 negatives (7 were not my fault) go down to 1.
I would send them a good will letter to see if they would remove the derog, try searching for goodwill letters try that if you still in good standing with the OC.
Were you only 30 days late? Or were you 90 or more days late and they reported you as being only 30 days late?
