yea, I use to get 8 points for 2 hards. Thank god it did not drop I hope I can bump them off. So they pull hards for cars & soft for cc. To bad I had to fined out the hard way.

Why the double post? Your other post stated why you got the additional inq's.

As stated in my 2nd post in this thread, applying for a loan is the only instance when they pull multiple reports. Again this only applies to CC's.

Hi all. I was just wondering...

When you apply online and are approved do they follow up with a phone call to confirm before full commitment?

I applied for Providian (*yes, shoot me now*) and they had to call and talk to me, to ask me every question imaginable... (HELLO!?!?! Didn't I fill out and sign an APPLICATION for this?) before they would issue a card to me.

I want to help DH apply for Amex Blue... Ran his numbers through Lending Tree and he got that offer, another AMEX, and 2 National City offers...

His EQ is 720 (FICO), not too sure about the other two yet, but I know TU is no negs.

However, he's a duffus when it comes to talking with CSR and other rep types on the phone. He's also self-employed but I don't know if that's a big deal since he's been doing it with a nice profit for 12+ years... is that a death knell when trying to get AMEX? Any thoughts? Anyone else out there self-employed having any issues with that?

Thanks to Deadwrong for bringing up the Lending Tree option for CCs... too cool!

How come Lending Tree offers only these cards: Amex Blue and National City? It looks like they have same deal with them. How about other cards - why they don't show up?

Heads up to anyone else who applied for blue go to

    https://www65.americanexpress.com/eaol/statuscheck/welcome_statuscheck.jsp

to check the status of your app and once you verify you were accepted call New Accts# listed on decision page and request a cli reevaluation. They will reevaluate based on the CR they pulled.

They doubled my initial credit line without another hard.

So, those of you have accepted a cc offer are getting approved? Anyone not get approved after accepting? Thanks

Offered me Blue and three National Citys (FirstAir, VehicleVantage, and Diamond Platinum).

Nothing showing up on EX so either they're slow to report or they hit the other two (better not be a bunch of hards!)

I tried it on monday and there aren't any hards showing for me. You shouldn't get any.

The other night I applied via lending tree for credit cards. I apparently got 4 offers:

    American Express Cash Rebate Card
    Bank One BP Visa
    Blue from American Express
    United Mileage Plus Visa

So I went with the United Mileage Plus Visa. Whats odd is that I don't see any inquiries on any of my credit reports. Has this happened to anyone? Also, does getting these offers mean I was pre-approved, or can I still be declined?

    Thanks,
    Sal
