Any happy experiences with lending tree? I'm trying to get a high limit card, and not having much luck. Scores are mid to high 600's, (no derog's, lots of inquiries), great income 250k plus, big mortgage, but nobody will give me more than 10k, and several only find me worthy of 2-5k.

I just tried lending tree and got two "offers" for big limit cards, over 50k, amex blue and fusa titanium. Before I suffer two more inquiries, has anyone found this to be a good way to get a new card???? Help. I don't want to "accept" these offers, then get turned down or get two more inquiries and two more 1000 limit cards for the sock drawer.

BTW, how come Cap one, amex, fusa, and citi all want to give my homemaker wife a 25k card, but I can't get 15k card to save my life. Any thoughts on a card company to work with on this. thanks.

somethings holding your score down. Your credit score does not fall in line with someone who makes that kind of income.

250K income person should have 750-800 score you are probably flagging yourself with such high income and such low score.

It's my impression that income is NOT a score factor? Isn't that true.

I refied twice last year and got a new car. Also got a couple of lousy low limit cards, so the inquiry total is through the roof.

I might be mistaken but I thought that if Lending Tree's banks make you an offer it's a bona fide offer of credit similar to a pre approval. I'm not sure but don't you have to fill out a form when signing up with them?

    Thanks

They pull a HARD inquiry. Forget them. I wouldn't use their service.

Not only does Lending Tree pull a hard, but so do any lenders that extend an offer, so if they do get four lenders competing for your business, you could potentially have five hard inquiries on your report. I found this out the hard way and wouldn't recommend them.

INCOME IS NOT A FACTOR IN F.I.C.O.

First, income isn't factored into FICO. Second it is very possible to have those kinds of score and have no negatives. I have no negatives, but my score isn't very high either.
