I've been reading on here and PG that length of time a cc is held helps/hinders scoring. I have had an AMEX Green since '89. Closed it in '99 for some reason and reopened in '00. I'm planning to call AMEX in the morning to request that they report 'account opened' in '89 instead. Any ideas how much this should help a score? I don't want to spend much time on a minor thing if it doesn't help much. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the input. Since there was a gap in the period I owned the card, any idea on probability of them doing this for me? You seem to have had most the cards out there (based on the extensive posts, lol). Thanks.
