Hello, I realize that I am relatively new here but I'm not the shy type so if I think of something that sounds like it might work for all consumers of the Country I'll share. So here goes: I spend alot of time reading these different posts and sticky's, etc. I'v looked at the different State Agency's to complain to and have even done so with a few collection accounts. We all do this in our credit repair journey's. We write these letters of DV and all the rest and we all complain that even with the new credit laws, etc the CRB's and CA's are still f***ing us over. So I suggest that we start a letter writing campaign to our Senators and Reps. Send them specific instances where our rights have been violated and the laws ignored. Quote the Laws and send em highlighted copies of the sections we are quoting. If enough consumers in this Country did this I guarentee it would get them to take action. Yes, they know all about the problems since they just enacted FACTA and such but if Consumers started a letter writing and fax and phone campaign informing these "elected by us" officials that we are still getting the shaft don't you think they would do something? What do u all think? We could remind the "elected by us" officials that by their continued Illegal activity the CRB's and CA's are thumbing their collective noses at the esteemed "elected by us" officials. Jane
Nice idea but politicians will just toss out the complaints UNLESS the letters were the result of something peope saw on TV. For example, when Oprah farts we all feel a hurricane. If someone got on her show to talk about credit in general, why people must check their reports and aggressively dispute errors and also discuss some horror stories, the viewers would take her advice pronto. Mention this site on the program and we would recruit tons of newbies for a directed campaign. CA's and CRA's would be jumping out of windows like it was 1929 all over again. Just my opinion for what it's worth.
