I got a letter today from TU about some inquiries I disputed. They said the companies don't need my authorization, only a permissible purpose. I knew this, but thought they might remove them anyway. They told me to contact the creditors to have them send TU a written authorization for removal. So where do I go from here? Should I contact the creditors, or just keep disputing with TU?
Send TU another CRRR stating that the company did not have a permissible purpose, you did not apply for credit, you have not relationship with the company blah blah blah. Worked like a charm for me.
