I sent Experian a list (actually online) of disputes on inquiries about 3 weeks ago. Today, in the mail, I received a letter from one of them. A mortgage company from almost two years ago saying basically......" Dear Mr. xxxxxxxx, In response to the dispute of our inquiry 12/20/99...........you applied online and gave us detailed info about yourself....it is not right for us to remove this inquiry....etc" I am going to respond to them in writing asking for my signature on a credit app.....what do you think? Another tip: Perhaps you can avoid outright lying by skirting the issue, claiming there was no need for you to get XXX and that you tend to handle such affairs in person or through the mail for security...blah blah blah. Steph
