I have a collection agency that has 3 accounts they say I owe. They are reporting these accounts multiple times on my credit reports. When I dispute the listing with the CRA, they not only verify the listing, but they add a new one. On EQ, for example, I have 8 listings from this CA for 3 accounts. They just change the account number slightly and the "date reported" is different. Also, they are violating the FCRA because they did not report the accounts as "in dispute" after I sent a validation request to the CA.

I am going to send them a letter and file a complaint with the Tx Attorney General.

Do you think this constitutes "willful noncompliance" as stated in sec 616 of the FCRA? How many $thousands would this be?
