Can you guys help me to make sure this letter is okay before I send it? I asked Transunion to update the amount owed on my mortgage about 1 year ago. (It was before I knew the harm that could happen by disputing ANYTHING GOOD on my credit reports!) The mortgage is showing in good standing on the other two bureaus...my husband doesn't think this is worth my time-but I think it's lowering my score by not showing on there... Here's the letter: Dear CIT, Hello, I recently received my Transunion Credit Report and have found that instead of showing my account with CIT as paid each month as agreed, they now donâ??t show it at all! I am writing to ask for your immediate assistance in updating my credit report. Because you never responded to their request for an updated balance, Transunion was forced to delete the item. They informed me today that in order for your company to be listed on my report-you will need to send it to them with the account number scrambled. If you send it over with the actual/correct account number, Transunion will continue to delete it automatically. Once it was deleted due to your non response, it can not be added again. I am following this up with a phone call, but wanted to ensure my written request was received by your office. I am sure youâ??d like to assist a good customer. Please take care of these problems at once. It is imperative that you deal with this immediately. Please phone me at 502-XXX-XXXX to notify me when this problem has been resolved and send me a written explanation of what was done to my report once your investigation is complete. _______________ What do you think? Please advise, thanks!!!
