i tried to open a phone service but wasn't home when they came to connect it. but i have been reciving a bill for $5.12 from different long distance company. i had called and they asked me to send them verification that i didn't have the service connected. they said >5 times that they would take the charges off but i am still reciving a bill. it is not on my credit report yet. i was wondering what sort of letter i should send to them? and what steps i should take?

i just started trying to repair my credit. and i have a bunch of ?'s , but this is the first. any help is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks all

Do you have a phone number assigned??????

How are you supposed to NOT mail a bill? Maybe take a picture with no phones in your house????

Maybe your local service provider can send you a letter that your service isn't connected.

    Too weird.

You might also send a letter to your Public Utilities Commision, summarizing the situation and all communication and their failure to correct, to start establishing a paper trail.

I just called this company again. and they said that there accounting debt was zeroing out the debt. and that next month we should not receive a bill.
