I saw that. I don't think it was acceptable. I thought it was rude. But then I read about the e-mails and obviously this guy is crying out for help. Maybe we're not equipped to help him here. But we don't have to post his e-mails and add fuel to the fire either.

It's always unfortunate when new people get picked on -- especially if it's not deserved. I don't remember what happened in your specific case (I hope I didn't give you any grief!) but there are some things new people here can do to take responsibility for easing their introduction to the community.

I read every post I possibly could -- for hours and hours over several days -- before I posted my first message here. By that time, I felt I had a handle on what the atmosphere was and who the players were. I'd advise anyone else to do the same. You're not going to fix your credit instantly just by posting. Therefore, it's not going to add any appreciable time to the process to actually read the board.

Aside from that, it's simply a matter of being courteous.

I was the only one who posted an email from him, and I would do it again. "If you do not wish a thing heard, then do not say it."

Nice post. But I don't think the newbies understand the "atmosphere here", as you put it. They don't understand that the regulars have expectations of them and those expectations are for them to read and basically help themselves initially.

They come on here and see the regulars offering all this exceptional advice and they go, 'great!' and jump right in with their questions. Sometimes they are referred here as a last resort and they need help quickly.

As a former client, I looked for information on Lexington before I signed with them and the most common complaint that I saw was that they disputed good accounts along with the bad. Since they don't do this anymore, this point is a little moot. That's all I was saying in defense of the posts that say that they do. NO ARGUMEMENT HERE GEORGE, LOL!!!!
