Hi! Unique National Collections out of Jeffersonville, Indiana just posted a negative entry on my credit report for an overdue public library book from 3 years ago, 2004. I called the collection agency when I was advised of changes to my credit report. Has anyone heard of this? How long of a statute of limitations does the library have to do a collection action? The agency indicates that they sent me three letters beginning in April of 2007 advising me of the problem. I have not seen any of them but the address they have for me is correct. Let me know thoughts, please. Thanks!
