Had a tax lien that was issued 4/97 and released 5/97. Was all ready to contact EQ to let them know it should be gone by 5/1/04 and when I pulled my EQ today, it was gone. Poof! So either they do 30 days before the 7 years OR it's since the filing date. Since I have another lien issued in '92, I doubt it it's the filing date. I think I read about others having a BK fall off 30 days before. Anyway, like my old man said, the secret is to live long enough. I did nothing at all and it came off. Very cool.
