Has anyone had any luck getting AMEX to increase your credit line on the AMEX LOC? I just opened my account in September and they only gave me $3K to start. If you have gotten an increase, how old was your account, what report did AMEX pull (if any) and what was your score/debt load like? TIA.
This will result in a hard INQ, whereas closing the existing LOC and reapplying will give you a chance to get a higher LOC ¥if your income is now higher and you report it as such¤ w/o paying the cost of one hard INQ© Saar
I think Amex is in some trouble because at one time they was giving me & others a line of credit like it was candy I start with 6,400 and in a year 15,000 .The Market has hurt them and 911,but bofA is doing great.
