As some of you may recall, I posted awhile back that I had applied for a CITI Illumina and was declined due to "no balances on my revolving accounts". I then PFB'd them and complained about the denial. I just got off the phone with a woman from the executive offices, they manaully reviewed my credit report and have issued a CITI card with $1700 CL to me. Bye Bye forever Cap1!

This board and the wonderful information contained within it's pages really works. Since joining this bord, I have been able to remove most negative listings from my credit profiles. (I have two holdouts which simply won't come off.) I haven't had to pay anyone else to do it for me, and now I have a prime unsecured credit card. It takes time, but it is well worth the wait. Now I feel like a real person (in the credit realm anyway).

Thanks to everyone that has posted constructive information here!!!

Congrats. Not giving up or giving in to them can sometimes pay off. Use it in the best of credit!

    Mitcra,

Congratulations on the new prime card - I bet it makes you feel good to know your work payed off dearly.

By the way, is there a number I can call to find out the status of my citi application?

    Hi Sal,

    Marci supplied this number:

    1-301-733-5501

I called and it worked, but I called after I got my denial letter. I do not know if they will discuss it with you beforehand.

    Mitchra,

The woman stated I had several accounts with 120 day lates. I was really hoping they would have just looked at the score (660) but no dice.
