I am having a problem that I am told you have had yourself. Could I please have you assistance?

(this is copied from my other thread)

Because of inquiries from EQs credit watch service, I have 2 files. I called and the rep said that they can't delete them and they can't combine the files. She also said that credit grantors should be able to get both files when pulling credit. Do I look that stupid? (Noone answer that!! ;-)

So the file that I had been working on so hard on has been replaced with some file with inaccurate tradelines and birthdates and a ton of inquires. I was never able to get the score from my first file that I was working on and it really ticks me off because I had come down to 2 negatives. I am drafting a letter to them but I know that other people have had this problem with them before. I am going to include the section from fcra that says they must maintain the most accurate info possible and argue that they aren't doing that by having 2 files. I don't know if this is enough.

Once again, thanks for your time.

Ok, thanks. Maybe that was what sass... was talking about. But listen, EQ has played a jedi mindtrick on me for the past 1.5 months. This morning after calling and disputing online etc since April, my right file is back.

As they wave a hand over my face....... "There was never a problem with my EQ file."

I say... "There was never a problem with my EQ file."

Hahaha!!! I crack me up this morning!! :-D

You're cracking me up as well, milkmom :)

I just remember others having the same problem and they were discussing how to deal with it.

It seems like moving the inquiries to another file was one of the solutions some one had posted about, but it was inquiries only.

The other was why would you pay the money for the monitoring service if using it shuts you down. It didn't appear to me that most wanted their money back, they wanted the access.

Shortly thereafter is when Doc pulled out his hat and that seemed to have solved the problem. It doesn't help though if you missed the hat and it's just a matter of time before we're all in the same boat again, either too many inquiries so we won't have access or too many inquiries leading to another file.

As greedy as they are and I believe their prime motivation, you'd think they would not list the soft inquiries or have a means for tracking the ones that we ourselves are generating, they'd rather have the money for the monitoring service.

I wish there was an answer or another hat, we'll all be swimming with you in a few weeks.

    Sassy

Thanks for getting me that link. Maybe they just voluntarily put them into a second file. They are full of crap and I am just 2 derogatives away from cancelling their stupid service. I am not going to pay when they keep giving us the shaft.

BTW: You two are cracking me up over here!!!
