Why can't I pay Cross Country every month the way I paid them this month? I am not about to give those people my checking account number. I really need to establish credit with a credit card company in order to get a better card.
I cannot afford a secured credit card. I just lost my job in July of 2000, had unemployment until January of 2001, and have been working for temp agencies ever since. I am again out of work, looking, have 2 interviews today. My husband, (who the Cross Country Card belongs to) has been at the same job for almost 6 years. But he doesn't even make enough money to cover our house/car/utilities, etc. I am sure I will find a job, but in the meantime we are trying to establish credit card payments in a timely manner to get better ones when that job comes along.
