When you drafted your complaint letter, did you simply print out that letter and this is what you would file with the court or do you have to actually print it in a 'type' format?

I have seen court papers in the past, and it looks like it was typewritten.. but was wondering if the complaint is drafted in something like Word and I print it, if this would be sufficient to submit through the court? I am a bit lost in the whole filing process and litigation process with district court.

When i did small claims, all I did was check a few checkboxes.. thanks

You can't just type a letter. It needs to be in a legal layout. Do a check here for lawsuits. You'll find the layout. Then just take it to the clerk of the court you want to file in. They'll do the rest. As far as serving the papers, I doubt the District Ct. will handle it like small claims. You'll probably have to find a process server to serve it. Let me know where you want it served, and I'll find you a server.
