LKH's "bumpage" Trick

My equifax file just got split from bumpage.
I had 176 inquiries and my file split into to..
One all credit accounts the other all inquiries...

As so Im told through Equifax CS when my file is consolidated all of my inquiries hard and soft will be gone..

Why 10 days, I thought TAB skips everything else but hard one.

NOT SKIP "HARD"...THAT THE BENEFIT OF "BUMPAGE"!!!

If "HARD" was skipped...the whole "BUMPAGE" program would be a waste of time, AND A BIG WASTE OF MONEY!!!

 

3 to 2 gave me 7 points and 2 to 1 gave me 7 points. I only have one left but I don't plan to see any increase. According to FICO, one inquiry doesn't have any affect on one's score. We will see....

 

1 inquiry took my score down 9 points..so it has to have some affect. (its the only hard I have btw)
it should come off in 3 days if bumpage works out right..Im hoping to get my 9 points back, but I doubt I will.

 

I LOST 7 FOR INQUIRY # 1
LOST 7 MORE FOR INQUIRY # 2
BOTH "BUMPAGE" GAINED 7
ONE MORE INQUIRY LOST 7
ONE MORE INQUIRY LOST ANOTHER 7

SO YOU MAY OR MAY NOT BE BACK WHERE YOU STARTED FROM...

 

Please let us know If all the inquiries are gone... I am in the same boat.. I am at 161 inquiries now, no bumpage and I am getting worried that my file might split soon..

 

I went from 10 hard a month ago to 6 hard as of today. Thank you LKH.

My EQ report is clean. 6 hard deletions.

My husband has had 4 hard deletions. 2 to go.

All done in 30 days.

I am scared about file splitting so I will only look at CW once a week now that my file is clean.

 

when I order my report everyday, it shows 2 inquiries, so when you all say bumpage in the hundreds, is it realy like (theoretically) 50 something days, since it is showing 2 softs a day, or am I looking at 100 something days?

 

I got the same thing LKH! I had 4 hards as of last night. I pulled this morning and bumpage deleted a hard. Score jumped 7 points. I have 3 hards left, one of which will fall off next week! I hope to see another 7 point jump!! Thanks for sharing the bumpage trick!!

If there is 1 hard enq on say 10/15/01 and 5 soft enq on 10/14/01, should the soft enq be removed first before it can remove the hard one or will it skip the soft ones and reomove the hard one right away.

It works this way -

Starts from the bottom up. It will delete 2 inq's per day (if you pull everyday). It moves up from the oldest date, deleting softs and hards. It will skip certain softs, such as AR, PRM, ID, EU, DTC. It will delete softs (Equifax Consumer Services) and hards, but leave the others. Hope that helps!

If you look on the first page of CW, go under inquiries--it lists them all for you, and gives you the number on the top. I have 125--lost all my hards except one. It should come off in 5 days--and I should gain some points because it's only from 8/26.

Do a search for bumpage, or LKH's trick--there are a ton of posts about it. Good luck!

 

I have seen both negative and positve posts about file splitting. Can anyone give actual evidence if file splitting will hurt or not. The one post said that Customer Service gave a positive answer (from out perspective) on the results.
