I had a car loan thru Primus Financial for 5 years that was paid off in February 2006. It was co-signed by my dad. Last year, I was buying a house and it showed up on the credit report pulled by the mortgage company. In January, I was buying a new car and the loan didn't show on any of the 3 bureaus. I called and Primus said they showed it reported, but would force it thru again and it should show with 30 days. 2 months later, the loan is paid off and its STILL not on my credit report. I am LIVID that I would pay them and not have it reported. What else can I do? The bureaus say they can't help me.
Send the finance company a CMRRR letter stating that on xx/xx/xx you were told by their company rep that the loan [add number/payment history/] would be reported to all three Credit Reporting Agencies as a positive trade line - paid, as agreed. Request the date that the finance company reported to the CRAs.
