Hi Due to mounting medical bills after cancer surgery (head and neck) I had to file for BK7 in 03.Now I need a loan for dental work. (10.000). Since bankruptcy it will not be a problem to pay back.Question:Will it still be difficult to obtain a loan with this recent bk? The co-signer is a family member with excellent credit.TIA

Shouldn't be depending on the co-signers credit rating.
After all he's the one stuck with paying the loan.

What is your credit score with the 3 CRA's?
Do you own a home or have other collateral?

Have you tried a HELOC or mortgage loan?
For something so recent, I'd say $10k is going to be a bit difficult. Well unless you find a nontraditional finance company that will hit you with prime + 7-10% interest or worse.
