just a thought. I know this has been brought up here before, but I was thinking about putting up a page where people can electronically sign a petition to be sent to elected officials about certain things they would like to see changed.

I thought about starting with something small, like maybe the fact that inquiries should not be recorded on a credit report unless it is in connection with a granting of credit. I agree with a poster in another thread who mentioned that we should have the freedom to shop around credit wise and not be penalized for it.

At any rate...I was thinking the petition would have a statement to that affect and then once we have so many "signatures" (name and address...electronic signature, etc.), it would be sent off and we could go on to the next issue. Its not like there is a time frame to do it, so theoretically these signatures could be collected over a year or two's time...although people move, etc.

I've never gotten involved in anything like this (other than signing a petition to make the county I use to live in a wet county versus a dry county...lol) but I think it could be interesting and who knows...maybe if enough people stumble across it it may actually have an impact?

    Any thoughts?

    DEFINATELY!!!!

You may even want to consider the letter I believe Jaj wrote a while back (about a month ago). I sent to my reps and I haven't heard a word on it.
