    Hi all,

I'm afraid to deal with AmEx's Membership Banking after some horror stories I've read here.

Can anyone recommend some personal Lines of Credit with decent rates that don't report to the CRAs?

    Thanks,

    NEVER report, balance $0.00

I've had 4 ACCT with AMEX.. and NONE had reported yet.

I'd like to know this as well.

Herman, did you apply for all 4 LOC's at the same time? I have one but would like to increase the limit on it (currently at $3K) or apply for a new one. Any thoughts, everyone?

I got 2 lines of credit and they closed one ( never used it thank goodness) and never notified me that they closed the second account. I received the welcome package for second line as well as checks, but about 3 weeks later it was removed from the automated system and the online system.

Poop. OK, anybody know how good AMEX is about limit increases on the LOC?

Actually, I was asking for information on a LOC *other than* one issued by AmEx/Centurion Bank. Bailey's post underscores why I don't want to go with AmEx.

    So - again:

Does anyone know of a LOC that is NOT affiliated with AmEx that does not report?

Generations Bank won't report, but the interest rate can be anywhere between 9.99-19.99%.

Sorry, I didn't mean to hijack your thread. :)

I am also looking for another non-reporting, non-AMEX LOC.

Thanks, Dani. I had forgotten about Generations. For all of its problems, AmEx's LOC is admittedly competitive. :-(

You can try ING direct, but I don't know if they report.

They call it the orange loan, but it is really a line of credit.

I "think" I remember someone mentioning they pulled from TU??

They approved me for 20k, pulled from TU. They wanted to verify everything. I decided I didn't need it that badly, it wasn't worth the hassle. So I didn't open it.

    What scores are needed?

My TU discolsed score at the time was about 703. I don't know the minimum required.
