Since AMEX BLUE is IGNORING me...would this help? Do a BT $15,000 to MBNA and then make one BT the other way after the statement is ran??? BE ADVISED AMEX BLUE IS STUCK AT 12.99%... IT WOULD COST ME ABOUT $162 +/- Or just keep it in the sock drawer??? ALL I WANT IS THEIR LOWEST INTEREST RATE OF 9.99% AND $4,500 MORE ON THE CREDIT LIMIT. Perfect AMEX payment history for 2.5 years...
George, Why don't you call and have them send you their balance transfer checks. I don't even use the Amex card anymore, just their checks. You can write it to anyone (company) who doesn't (or does) take Amex. The rate is 5.9%. Dani
BECAUSE I HAVE 12.99%...I can do it on-line... I have called on the phone (regular CSR, M.O.R.E., M.C.S.) written, e-mailed, faxed, snail-mailed, I EVEN NEXT DAY AIRED A LETTER TO THE C.E.O.!!! I have 12.99% SET IN STONE (BT & PURCHASES) $15,500 SET IN STONE 2.5 YEARS OF PERFECT PAYMENTS TOO BAD I CAN'T GET THE 5.90%...THEY EVEN REFUSED TO GIVE ME 9.90%!!!!!!!!!
GEORGE, I HAVE 12.99%, TOO! BUT IF YOU USE THE AMEX CHECKS (THERE LITTLE GREEN CHECKS THAT COME IN A BOOK - WITH YOUR NAME/ADDRESS ON THEM) ARE ONLY 5.99%. AMEX WILL NOT CHANGE THE 12.99% (I'M IN THE SAME BOAT), BUT THE CHECKS GIVE YOU A WAY AROUND IT. DANI
WHO DO I CALL??? I have given up!!! I have been given the "YOU GOT WHAT YOU GOT WHEN YOU APPLIED...TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT"!!!
George I do not have amex I would think customer service dept could supply your answers for little green checks
George, Ng is right. Just contact Blue's customer service department. Tell them you have a vendor that does not accept credit cards, but you would like to pay via Amex. At this point, they should mention the checks. It takes about 14 days to receive them because they print them with your name, address, and account number on them. They sent me a batch of 10. The only thing to remember is you can only write them to a company, if you write them to a person your charged with a cash advance fee. When I first received them the rate for writing the checks was 8.9%, I noticed on my latest statement that it is 5.9%. It should not matter what your purchase APR is. Let me know what happens. Dani
Thank you both...I'll try (BUT I'M NOT HOLDING MY BREATH)... ...nobody's here to wake me up when I turn blue and pass out...
