I just donâ??t understand. I am reading the threads about members getting pre-approved for mortgages. Some of you guys have missed up credit and are still getting loans. I donâ??t understand. I have four damn accounts, well now five accounts that I have been disputing and they all keep coming back verified by each bureau. I have tried to apply for a mortgage at least get pre-approved, and low and behold, I get deny because of the credit showing to damn recent as negative. Now my thing is this. The accounts that have been charged off are from 2000, but of course showing updated as of 3/2002. I am working my damn hardest to get this off. Any one I apply for credit with tells me my credit is ****ed because I have to many recent late payments etc. I would like to clean my credit up ASAP, because I do want a new home. Can some one please please point me to a good negotiation letter? I want this shit off my credit ASAPâ?¦..thanks for all your help. *************** Dimples1 *************** Trying to beat Credit Hell.................

Dimples.... I understand your frustration. If you have charge offs that are unpaid and you want to negotiate for deletion, I'm posting a letter that I mailed. I haven't gotten any responses yet, but hopefully I will. =================== Dear Sirs: I have written to you previously, demanding verification of the debt you claim I owe to you. I have yet to receive said proof. I have and will continue to deny any liability toward this debt whatsoever. Due to your inability to provide lawfully demanded proof, I am within every right to pursue legal action against your company for violation of the law. However, I may be able to save us both further hassles by offering a settlement on this â??unvalidated debtâ?? in the amount of $xxx, as payment in full for the full satisfaction of this account. If you will acknowledge that this is not an admission of liability and that all parties will keep this settlement confidential, then we can resolve this immediately. Your agreement to this settlement will require immediate deletion, and no later than 48 hours, of the disputed debt from each credit bureau you submit account information to, including any information showing this account as being paid late, in collections or charged off. If you agree with these terms, please acknowledge with your signature and return a copy to me. You agree the terms herein are confidential and you have the authority to make such decisions. No payment will be made without written confirmation. Upon receipt of this signed acknowledgment, I will immediately mail you funds via certified bank cashier's check with restrictive endorsement forming legal and binding contract between us by priority mail. Please confirm in writing within 15 days from the date of this letter agreeing to these terms. If I do not receive your objection within 15 days from the date of this letter, it will be assumed that this offer is being rejected and no further offers of settlement will be made. In the event that you should fail to confirm, I reserve all rights under the law including the right to pursue legal action against you for your violations of law. This is not a renewed promise to pay but rather a restricted offer only. Sincerely, (your name) ---------------------------------------------- (this area for creditor) I, _______________________(print name), certify that I agree with the above stated terms of this letter. In addition, I attest, under penalty of perjury, that I am of the authority to accept said agreement and follow through with said terms. ______________ _________________ ______________ Signature Phone Number Date
THANKS FOR THIS LETTER, SORRY I AM JUST RESPONDING, BUT I HAVE BEEN IN DISNEY WORLD FOR 8 DAYS..........WOOOO WEEEEE WE HAD A NICE TIME.......ANY WAY LET ME KNOW HOW THIS LETTER PANS OUT FOR YOU. THANKS A LOT FOR ALL YOUR TIME AND HELP.
Well.....I got one of my responses already - they "counteroffered". I'll let you know about the other two (although, one has already removed the negative from my CRs)
No...(see my post Reponse from CA). They offered to take $250 for a status of settled. I wrote them back that H.E double hockey sticks will I take that! I'm going to call them tomorrow also.
Ok, I would like to settle with everyone for about 45% of balance. Am I asking for to much? We will see how it works. Thanks a lot.
No...you're not asking for much. They counter was about 45% of the balance. I started at 40%. They keep trying to tack on interest and such....driving up the balance but I don't care about the interest THEY are charging....I'm more concerned about the original balance. I've sent a letter back to them (which thanks to Keller, I will fax) countering at about 55% which in actuality is about 95% of the original balance! In the meantime, to help by some time, I've disputed this entry on my CRs to surpress them when I got apply for my mortgage on Thursday.
