I just pulled up my credit report for the first time in a while. I have a collection account with a Central Finiancial Control. The address (no phone give and no listing when I tried to get one) is Orange, Ca. I dropped them a letter but it was returned. How can I find this company and get this account taken care of?

Look on California's Secretary of State's website.

OTOH, the CRAs are required to provide full contact info ("accurate information") for all creditors in the report. I'd dispute this with them ASAP as an inaccuracy and demand they delete it from your records. Why bother to track the CA down?

The above is true and something I missed. Of course, I think that only applies if you are looking at a credit report of theirs rather than a tri-merge. Could be wrong but, I thought their was some authority on this issue.

I have them listed with full contact information in the Texas state listings on my website known as the most wanted criminals. Just scroll down the page until you find the Texas state listings and then use the search function in your browser and search for "syndicated" and you will find them much more quickly than if you have to dig through the hundreds of such criminals listed as having offices in the state of Texas. It seems they may have offices in two Texas cities as well as in California or they may be separate companies with the same name. It looks like I need to copy a listing for them under the page for the most wanted criminals in California as well.
