looking for fax for Trans-union

    I wonder if anyone has a fax number for TU in California or Penn to dispute an inquiry. I wrote but they say they don,t dispute inquiries and I believe according to FCRA they have to disput any incorrect info.

    Here are two fax numbers for TU, but I don't know if they are for the one in California.

    1-610-546-4605-busy all the time, but goes through. This fax is used for deletion letters.

    1-714-447-6032

    I mainly use the first one. The credit bureaus do not have to investigate inquiries, only negative listings, but you can give it a try.

    I recently faxed inquiry disputes to TU at 714-447-6032.

    I received a letter from TU stating they don't remove inquiries, contact the company that inquired. Then I received a letter listing the deletions I had requested.

    I faxed on a Friday and had an updated report, minus the deleted inquiries in 10 days.
