I've been mums on this 'cause I thought sure this would backfire soon. Hasn't yet. The people who live in the states that get a free credit report each year can get more than one free credit report from all the agencies. I'm pretty sure this only works if you order by phone for mail delivery, but as soon as you report that you live in the "free" state, their systems automatically generate a complimentary report.

I had been operating totally under one free report rule, but since I've been actively involved in credit repair, I started to request them more often. Never am I given the opportunity to pay when I call. I must have gotten three free reports last year for both my husband and myself.

Just something I thought you all might like to know. Of course, I may be preaching to the choir.
