I received a Home Depot card today for an application I made a few weeks ago. When I applied online it said something like thanks we will advise you. I thought this meant bad news. Today I got the card and a $500 limit. Not much but a start.

I logged on to Credit Expert and it said I lost 10 points. When I viewed my credit report the Home Depot is listed. Wow, get and account, lose 10 points. Don't pass go, don't collect $200.

So far this is the 1st positive account to post to Experian. They won't report my Visa card that is 4 months old. I'm glad to at least have this reported. What a high price though.

Anyone else have this experience? Is MBGA/HOME DEPT a bad card/bank?

Thank you. That is good to hear. I'm just glad to have a new start.
