Lost card

    I just spoke to rep for Wal-Mart regarding my report showing lost/stolen card that I never received in the mail. They said that they do this to protect themselves and they can't remove it. Is this true?

    I HAD A LOST CARD REMOVED AFTER I COMPLAINED TEN TIMES BECAUSE IT LOOKS LIKE I LOST IT OR HAD IT STOLEN...the POST OFFICE LOST it, I had nothing to do with losing it!!!!!

    Did you complain to the CRA's or the bank that issued the card?

    BOTH...BUT I ASSUME THE CREDIT REPORTING AGENCIES ARE THE ONES WHO REMOVED IT NOT THE CREDIT CARD COMPANY...

    I asked them (CRA) to change it to LOST IN MAIL...they said that statement DOES NOT EXIST in their available statements...

    Do you happen to know if this hurts our fico score, is it worth the effort?
