I don't what happened to my Orchard Bank CC, it's gone. I called Orchard to get a new card issued.

Do you think the new CC # by Orchard Bank will report as a NEW CC on the CRA's? I can't have any new CC's showing up on my reports, my score will take a nose dive.

It's looking like I will have to call Orchard up and close my account......:<(

When I lost my credit card a few years back I just called them and they just sent me a new card but just changed the account number. On my credit report they just changed the acct number and didn't do an entirely new tradeline.

If I were you I would call them ASAP and report it lost.

I have a cc through Household which owns Orchard and when I was 1st approved for the card it never came in the mail. I called to ask what happened and they reported it lost/stolen and issued me a new card. I now have both of them listed on all 3 of my reports. The first one shows that it was reported for 1 month and then the new one. I have tried to dispute it with all 3 as "not mine" but it comes back verified every time. You might just want to call them up and ask how it will show to the cra's. If the csr doesn't know, ask to speak with a manager.

I called Orchard and CSR said they would report as a "new" CC. Not good, I paid my $20 balance off and cancelled by phone.

Sorry Orchard......I need every little FICO point I can get.

    Why would you cancel ?

Sure the account number would be new , but the "Date opened," would be the date you opened your account with them. Not the date they issued the new card. They would close the old account and notate it as "lost/stolen,"on your credit report, or as closed by consumer.

Makes sense to me. But in the off chance Orchard reports as "New", I am 99.99% sure my chances for being approved for a loan will be tanked, because a new account will drop my scores. Lender is only looking at EXP, and I am right off the cutoff line with EXP for the minimum FICO score the lender wants to see for loan approval.

What Lender are you going through that only looks at Experian? Do they have a license to work in the State of VA?

The "SINCE" date SHOULD BE THE SAME!!!!!!!

It is NOT a new account!!!!!!!

I would call and ask another rep. or get a MANAGER or SUPERVISOR!!!!!

They can list it as a second account...BUT the "SINCE" date would be the same...

The first account "COULD" be listed LOST/STOLEN...
