Credit card history reported to CRAs misleading I lost a perfect use/pay credit card that I had had for three years and reported it as lost. The credit card company closed it and reissued another card. No problem-I thought. But now I've come to find discover that they reported the other card as lost and closed to the CRAs and are reporting the replacement card as a new line of credit which took down my credit score. I asked the credit card company to note my history on the new card and they claim they can only report the history on the new card as a new history because it's new. What do I do?
I think that once you use your replacement card and pay on it the history of your old card should follow to be reflected.
