I just got off the phone from MBNA and I request to lower the rate of MBNA Barnes & Nobles Platinium Plus Card. They reviewed my account and they approved me for a fixed rate 10.99% for purchase, cash advance and Balance transfer. It is better than my Quantum Card fixed 11.99%. Another I asked for the limit increase for my People's Platinium Visa and they raised my limit from $8800 and $9800. There are good news for two days in a row. Do I get lucky? You can't get better rate than that from MBNA. My Barnes & Nobles Platinium opened less a year and they rasied me my credit two months in a row and I got lower rate of 10.99%. I guess I'm one of the best customers. Ron

Congrat's Ron! They also offer a 9.9% rate. My guess is that it is easier to get the 9.9% through Retention (Yes, they too have that dept. ) Saar
