I knew it was too good to be true. I received a pre-approval, up to $1500. from Lowes in the mail yesterday and was directed to a website where I entered my pre-approval number. All my personal information came up including my ss#.... which was incorrect, first digit was off by one number; figures. It said to correct anything that was wrong and enter to start shopping. I backed out since I don't need the inq. I was sure I heard on this board that Lowe's was not BK friendly (mine is almost 4 yrs old). Has anyone else received this offer? Also, when this incorrect ss# showed up, I couldn't help but wonder if this is the reason I can't log into CE due to incorrect SS# reported = Special Handling problem. . .just a thought.
