    Hello -
I was wondering how much luck people have had with sending polite letters to their creditors asking them to remove negitive information (late payments).
    Some specifically, for example:
    Capital One
    Ford Motor Company
    First Premier Bank
    Providian Bank

I have tried the old disputes with the credit agencies & have had no luck with removing the items.

    Thanks very much!

Ha Ha....does your weather forecast indicate that hell is about to freeze over?

Seriously though, there is no correct answer to this question....everyone will have different results...it depends on how old the late is, what caused the late, who you get on the phone and how sympathetic they are, and how good your sob story is....

In my opinion, roll the dice.....the key is who you get on the other end of the line and how you conduct yourself and what kind of day the rep is having.

In summary, this is not science....it's a matter of luck

Search here for goodwill letters. You may have better luck writing than you will calling. It can't hurt to try--you're no worse off than you are now.
