Hello all: I am beginning my journey towards credit repair. I have decided to dispute some items with the CRAs. This one is going to Equifax. Are these too many disputes for one letter? Item in Dispute Reason or Correction Personal Information is incorrect. The middle initial in my name, current address, current employer, and previous employer are listed incorrectly. Chase NA# XXXXXXX is reported two times. . Citi Cards CBSDNA#XXXXXX is reported two times. Credit Management Account# XXX Not mine. Mandee â?? CO #1 XXXXXXXX Never late. NCO Financial System #XXXXXX Not mine. New England Educ. Lo Acct. #564438XXX Duplicated entry. WFN Victoriaâ??s Secret #16002827195XXXX Did not open or authorize this account. The totals are basically: 1> Incorrect Info 3> Duplicted Entries 3> Not Mines (two of these are old paid collections) 1> Never Late I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR YOUR ADVICE ON THIS!!!
I've done that many on one, but I hear it's best not to do more than 4 at a time(it's hidden somewhere in the million posts I've read). Before coming here I did 12 on TU for DH which resulted in 8 deletions. I could have been lucky. I've also read that it's best to update information and remove all incorrect names and old addresses before disputing. I'm waiting for all my info corrections before I do another cycle. Hope this helps.
The magic number seems to be 3-4. I've gotten the same results doing a lot and doing 1-2. It really comes down to whether the rep feels like you're being frivilous. For EQ I've always done it online. It saves you a few days and it takes out some of the human element.
