    Even though its only 9:30 am EST, I am ready to go home and check my mail. Looking for my new Fleet Titanium Cash Rebate Visa!

    Well, yesterday I got my "preapproval" for CapOne Platinum card, complete with a cute phony card attached. "Up to" a $2,000 limit doesn't sound platinum to me. What kills me is this message:

    "Dear Beaker,

    If you're like most of us, you could use more credit to help make ends meet. And now you can have it with your Pre-Approved Visa Platinum card from Capital One!"

    So, if I'm in financial trouble and need to "make ends meet", I should just put it all on CREDIT? No thanks--been there, done that, still paying for it! :p
