Just wanted to share with you guys. I got my updated equifax report today. I had a double listing from Welcome Corp on behalf of Thrifty Rent a Car for $3596 so it made it appear that I owed $7192. Well both tradelines were deleted. However, I have never gotten my score from Equifax because they never provide it on my credit reports. Do you guys think this deletion would cause a decent rise in my score?

    Robin,

I've read and heard from a CRA rep that it's usually the last negative going bye-bye that causes the BIG jump.

Personally, I've had my score go down after some deletions and stay there after some more deletions. GO FIGURE.

As GEORGE is fond of saying - RNG(Random Number Generator).

I'm trying hard not to focus on my scores as much as I'm trying to purge all negs. I've been tracking my score on creditexpert (EX) and TU (it's free, worthless and comes with every updated report here in CA). EQ said they couldn't give me a score (can't remember if they gave a reason), but I'm playing "nice" with them in an attempt to get some real nasties removed.

I want to get a mortgage in the next 60-90 days, so my priorties are a little different than some.

Sorry to ramble. Hope this helps.
