So last night the toilet tank breaks sending water downstairs into the hall.... ugh But the bright point for today was I got to be home to greet the mail carrier! I got a letter from a CA in CA telling me that they are deleting their entries in Equifax and Experian!!! What baffles me is that I never contacted the CA myself. This was for an old medical account that insurance was supposed to have paid. We assumed (and you know what they say when you assume) that it was taken care of a while back. Well it wasn't and when we contacted the hospital, the billing dept clerk sounded like she didn't have a clue. I sent Second-cousin of Nutcase letters to the CEO and CFO of the hospital along with a money order. One week later, I get this letter from the CA. If I'm not mistaken, that means my EX has no derogs!!!
Your thread title reminds me of the freebie boards. But--if you didn't have to go through a bunch of work contacting the CA repeatedly, just going right to the top, then you've recieved a well EARNED freebie. Congrats!
