I received a settlement offer from Risk Management Alternatives, INC. ... States:

    Actually owe $478.08
    Settlement Amount $262.94

Appears to be about 55% if my math is correct.. I want to tell them that if they send me in writing that they will delete this account off of my credit reports I will settle for this... what do you guys think? What is my best course of action? Thanks!

If it's your and you want to settle b/c you can't get it deleted any other way. Then I would write them back and tell them you will settle w/ the amount if they will remove it from all 3 CRA's. Either you or they can write up the letter and sign it. If you send the letter I would also include the confidentiality clause in your letter. That way you have all of your bases covered.

I'd ask them to delete from ALL CRA's. There's that nasty Innovis "negative-info only" CRA to remember, too.

    What is the confidentiality clause?

I sent them one validation letter for an account I didn't know existed and they sent me a letter saying they would remove the negitive remark and the origional creditor asked them to send the account back to them.
