Anyone heard of them? Popped on hubby's Exp. yesterday. reaged the acct and all. It was for one of those check cashing places, hubby had a check with back in 97'yet Exp says acct due to come off in 07'. This co called me a few months back and told me that hubby had that day to pay or they would pursue criminal charges. I told him 'sure, we will pay, after you send me proof that he owes something' the guy then told me, 'we will just inform the creditor that legal action should be taken'. This check was paid in 98'.

    Nature of Business
This company's business is a collection agency.

    Bureau File Experience

We rate this company as having an unsatisfactory business performance record based on a pattern of unanswered complaints alleging unfair collection practices.

Complainants allege collection efforts imposed are for debts which were previously disputed with local phone services. Most complainants reported receiving credits by local carriers dissmissing the charge at the time of the dispute. One customer reported her twelve year old son called an adult line. The customer was asked by her local carrier to send a copy of the child's birth certificate along with her bill. The call charges were dissmissed, and she received a credit on her bill. Two years later, this company is attempting to collect the amount in question.

The company generally responds to complaints by denying requests to cease billings. They contend the amounts in question are authorized for collection by local carriers, and were tracked via an electronic tracking system. Responses suggested the customer should once again dispute the amount with their local carrier. Some responses challenged the customer to prove the calls were not valid debts. Some complaints are closed as unresolved, meaning the customers are not satisfied with the company's response. Other complaints remain unanswered.

When contacted for collection of an unfamiliar debt, take time to verify the validity of the debt before paying. The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act requires collection agancies to show satisfactory evidence of the debt if requested by the customer. If evidence of the debt cannot be provided, you are not required to pay it.

The Better Business Bureau does not endorse, recommend or disapprove of any product, service or company.
