Hi all, anyone have this card ??? How tough is it to get approved ??? I have four inquiries in the last 6 months. I applied a few days ago and got the "will be notified in the mail within 30 days" response. Hope it's not a denial.

I don't have this card and this card is issued by Bank One/First USA. I knew you cannot have too many inquiries within 6 months and no negative on your credit report. If you're current BankOne Cardmember, you have better chance to get the card. Most of the cards has no instant approval and you will know the status of your application within 1 to 2 weeks by talking to live person.

Hi Ron, I heard that First USA was notorious for bad customer service in the past, but I only found positive reviews for this card on other websites. Did customer service improve dramatically after Bank One took over ???

    Steve,

I have my first card Yahoo! Platinum Visa with First USA since 99 and I haven't had any problems with them. Customer services has been inproved since brought out by Bank One. I have no problems with posting payments by using paying online. They posted it in the following day. Right now I have 4 cards with them and 1 has been approved last week. They give generous credit line and pretty good rate. I got 7.99% var on some of my cards. By the way, I like Hilton Honors Visa Signature Card and it has no annual fee. It is issued by Citibank.(Citibank USA or Travelers Bank)

Just called and found out I was approved and the revolving limit is 25K!!! This would make it my highest limit to date. I thought I might be denied because of the excessive inquiries, but so far so good.

Wonder if 2 30 days from 3 years ago would nick it ?

What kind of scores do you have to get 25k?

Forgot to mention that this card comes with automatic Silver Elite status at various Marriott Hotels (late checkout, weekend discount, extra rewards points). Not bad for a $30 annual fee.

Congratulations on the card and the great credit limit.

I haven't gotten this one yet, but I have the FirstUSA United Mileage Plus Visa, and the customer service has been superb!
