Note in my case. For Target, Retailers National Bank pulled EQ but for Marshall Fields they pulled my EXP report. I was instantly approved for target but got denied for Marshall Fields. My EQ report at the time had 2 inq's within 6 months, 1 paid AU chargeoff, 1 unpaid collection (from 1998), 1 collection in dispute & 1 paid chargeoff in dispute, 3 positive open tl's and a true FICO of 694. My Experian at the time was showing 1 paid chargeoff, 1 paid AU chargeoff, 1 judgement, 1 paid chargeoff in dispute, 6 inq's in last 6 months (4 should have been AR's not hards) and 4 positive tl's. Not sure what EXP fico was but they denied. paw67
so happy you said that....because someone, somewhere, said that if you had the target card you were a shoe-in for the fields card.....i was thinking of applying in a month or so, but now that you've said that....i think that would have been an inq wasted.
You may wan't to try for a Mervyn's card... I am pretty sure they use the same criteria as Target.. They also report the credit limit on this account to the CB's
Is Mervyn's easier than Marshall Fields? And if I apply to Marshall Fields and they deny my application, will I run the risk of having my Target Guest Card closed since they are the same issuing bank?
I have a Fields cc card. With a bk-13 on file from 1996. I applied for a Target Guest card in 2001 approved for a $200.00 cl I applied for a Target Visa card in late 2002 approved for a $6k cl I applied for a Marshall Fields in late 2002 as well and was approved for a $300 cl, current cl is $500.00 That's about it. Best regards, Mirage
