Oh, you have a problem, Master Trust is a different animal over most collection agencies.

They specifically hide behind the original creditors name when they take over the account - they will use the OC's membership subscriber number to report data. Then they wait & hide for you to dispute the OC listing.

Then BOOM, they know you are there, to start collection efforts again. They cheat they won't use their own name and number to collect.

I have ran into them before, they also hide and report behind Hilig Meyers accounts - people kept disputing knowing this company was out of business and just could not understand why it kept getting verified.

    Master Trust (Heilig Meyers)

    lbrown,

you rule...you found my posting on that board.

Actually some folks on another two boards have taken an interest in this and are looking into it themselves.

You along with them are the only ones to be certain that there something very wrong here.

    thanks, Dogwood

Seems like what's happening in your case is The CA has another DBA name they are using as a fake Original Creditor in order to fool the CRAs into thinking The debt is being verified by a legit Original Creditor.

    This is illegal

would you say DV those two companies...ask them why they are verifying for company they are not...assuming my procedural from TU and Exp. return with them listed.

then assuming they don't answer me, write to CRAs and ask them how they are accepting verification from companies that are not the original entitiy.
