Just wanted to run this by everyone. It is my understanding from this board that MBNA pulls Experian pretty much exclusively? Am I correct? I don't want to apply with them and have them pull Equifax. I cannot take another one on EQ or TU for that matter. I need someone that just pulls EX. Thanks guys. Let me know, my fingers are getting itchy wanting to apply with them.

They usually pull from two reports for the same application (Experian and TU).

THanks guys. My TU is showing a couple of inq. w/i the last week or so. THe TU is 728(TU score) My Exp. has only my mortgage co. inq. and it is a 725. Do you think they'll approve with those scores?

what card are you applying for? I dont know if it really matters , but I've read that 680+ will pretty much get you in, unless you've got some BK's or something. Some companies auto-declineâ?¢ you when they see a BK.

Disclaimer: I've been declined so many times in the last 8 years though, I wouldnt be the best source for this information.

I'm thinking of the MBNA Platinum. What are my other options with them?

    kozman,

With your TU 728 and EX 725 you have great chances to be approved...
I received their Platinum Plus 8.9% fixed APR by invitation...

I applied with Chase last week and they denied me. Said I had delinquency and too many apps for credit. I hope that MBNA doesn't say the same thing. BofA pulled an inq. on TU the day before Chase and they approved for 6300. Go figure. Is mBNA easier to get than Chase?

But don't forget MBNA is not score driven only...they are going to review your application manually...so if you have any baddies you may not be approved...they don't care how many inquiries on your report but baddies...hm...

MBNA only uses Experian and Trans Union.. They do not use Equifax.. If they need to use both Credit Reports to make The Credit Decision they will . Sometimes it may be to your benefit and sometimes in may not.

Well guys, it's time for bed. An early morning awaits me. During the wee hours of the night, if anyone knows of anyone who pulls EX, I'd greatly appreciate it. It's a lock if they pull just the EX report. Thanks guys. Have a great night.

I was just approved for an MBNA Platinum Plus. It took 17 days for aproval from the day of application. Here is the process:

    1. 2 days after the application the pulled Transunion
    2. 17 days after the application they pulled Experian
    3. Their fraud department also called and asked me questions from my credit report (what is your credit limit on that credit card?) to verify my identity.

This is the only credit card I have that has such a long process. By the way I was approved for $10k.

    Thanks!
