    from Dictionary.com -

Paranoia: A psychotic disorder characterized by delusions of persecution with or without grandeur, often strenuously defended with apparent logic and reason.

    ====================================

In the past this was looked upon as an emotional affliction. If you're paranoid now, I see it as an asset. Congratulations to my CN friends who have achieved this noble status. If you believe this thinking is overboard, may I suggest that you proceed to bend over. The line behind you is getting longer.

When my balance was paid off or very low it took them 3-4 months to update with CRA's.

    Platinum,

That's inexcusable. I am enabling my e-mail. E-mail me, please.

I agree that you should close the account, but I think the VP of CC operations needs to know why.

I called some weeks ago to MBNA to get a reduction on my rate and an credit limit increase and was granted without pulling any inquire.

I Never have had any trouble with MBNA for inquires except when I have applied for a card or the apple loan (2 Inq each)

MBNA pulled once for a loc and twice for the PPlus, only because I said it was ok. (TU and exp)

I got 0% til 04 and then 7.9%, but I got an offer in the mail. My DH got 9.9 on elite rewards but he didn't get an offer in the mail. He got a higher limit than me, too....go figure. (higher interest.:)

But as far as mbna goes, do they only care what you do with their card or are they jacking rates on mbna if another account goes over 50%?? I've got an installment loan with John deere that they say will be reported as revolving......that will create a problem because it will be over 50%.

higher apr =rewards at least thats what they will tell you .
example why is my Quantum at 9.9 when sallie's is at 7.9 well gator you have world points no over limit fee no late fee no cash advance fee blah blah blah .

can't get through to them sallie's rate is 7.9

I have a PLat Plus at 8.9 but just got a promo from them for the same card at 7.9. Called to see if they would give me the 7.9 on my existing card - nope. Have to apply for new card. I have no inquiries so 1 would not hurt but I do not want to lower the average age of my accounts. Now, I am afraid to pull my report today because they may have pulled a hard because I asked for the rate match.

I don't have access to that account until late tonight, but I will give you the info you need.

Hopefully, with your persuasion, she will reconsider their policy on pulling hards for rate adjustments, or at least take it to the drawing table.

Oh yeah...they always tell me about benefits...like I've got fee-free World Points, no cash advance fee, no late fee, same 9.99 APR for the purchases and cash advances, concierge service etc. But others also enjoy the same benefits AND 8.99 APR.

That's OK if I can't have 8.99 APR. But WHY PULL HARD FOR ASKING QUESTION???????????????

I made a JOKE about pulling "HARDS"...

Suppose we were lied to all along...SUPPOSE THE CREDIT CARD COMPANY GETS PAID $5.00 EVERY TIME THEY DO A HARD?!?!?!!?

Maybe it is NOT a JOKE???

They just added another 6.51% on my account because of utilization on other cards that aren't from them.
This thing of utilization ain't nothin but a scam.

I have both Quantum and Elite Rewards Visa with MBNA and I have nor problem with them so far. I asked them to reduce apr several times and they didn't pull hard inquiry for rate reduction. In past few months, I asked them to reduce the rate and they told me it is the best rate for that account. Instead they reduced the apr, they increased the credit limit without pulling hard inquiry. By the way, they convert my Quantum Plus Rewards MC into World Points Quantum MC.

On another board someone said their "CHANGE IN TERMS" included a $35.00 FEE if you were OVER-LIMIT/LATE ON ANY CARD...
