Congrats, creditwork! MBNA is very flexible with credit increases since they keep increasing my limit by a $1,000 every two months. At that rate I might reach $30,000 on my Quantum card soon. I never spend this much on anything so this is slowly becoming a no pre-set spending limit card for me.

    Thanks, Steve.

I like to exercise MBNA because of their generous increases and teaser offers, they make for a great client for me.

    DID YOU ASK?
    I haven't had a credit limit increase in years from MBNA...but I haven't asked...
I would ask just to get the credit limit "EVEN"...it is $XX,600...

I hesitate...if they are going to "PULL" a credit report...I better get increased $10,400!!!!

I see you have a WEIRD credit limit also...

George, I have never asked. I only exercise my lines when I get teaser offers and pay the balance when the offer expires. This is what CreditWorks does for me and all it's participants.

MBNA charges only a max of $30 or $40 on convenience checks (depending on your account terms), so that would be 0.3% or 0.4% on $10,000.

I've recently gotten offers of 1.7% through February 2002 from them on several of my MBNA accounts. I get a new set of checks on each account from them about every 3 weeks. The expiration of the rate always seems be to 5 to 6 months out.

I have also gotten no fee balance transfer checks. The rate and length of the offer also varies.

One of the easiest ways to get Money from your credit card account at the low promo rate, is to ask them to directly deposit ( ACH) into you personal checking account.. This can take 5-7 days.. This way you can use it any way that you want to.. But remember , that what ever amount you decide on to use, that it is treated as cash, which means that you lose your grace periol

Rubyjean, you've blocked other posters' option to send you an e-mail. Any other way I can (privately) reach you?

MBNA is a credit card company. I rate them high for high lines and lots of teaser offers.
